Eduardo Williams (1987) is a filmmaker and artist whose work explores a fluid mode of observation, shared relations and spontaneous adventures within physical and virtual networks.

He studied at the Universidad del Cine in Buenos Aires, before joining Le Fresnoy – Studio national des arts contemporains in France. He shot several shorts including Could See a Puma (2011) and Allons-y! (2016). Retrospectives of his short films have been organized, among other places, at the Cinémathèque Française in Paris and at the Transcinema Film Festival in Lima. His first feature, El auge del humano (2016), won the Pardo d’oro in the ‘Cineasti del presente’ section at the 69th Locarno Film Festival. His second long feature film El auge del humano 3 (2023) had its premiere in the section ‘Concorso Internazionale’ at the Locarno Festival 2023.

Cocktails, comfort, company, cool films: this event is part of the public programme called ‘Hound’ for the group show ‘A time when the dogs barked every night’. This public programme contains four screening events and one dinner on every Thursday between 18 October and 23 November. Programmed by Lizzy Deacon, Swan Lee and Tumelo Mtimkhulu.
